Off to work.

Well Im off to work this morning. This is my third day so far. Thought i would just write a little bit and let you know how the job was going. Its good, I like it. I mean there are things i am maybe not crazy about but thats the same with any job. I cant complain because the main thing for me is the location. I love how close it is and i can just walk to and from work everyday! I have been working in the ice cream section alot lately and sandwiches. I made an Americano the other day to. I needed some help along the way but i did it. Quite an accomplishment because i havent really learned how to do any of the fancy drinks like lattes or those kinds. I basically just fill in stuff and run around kind of like a chicken with its head cut off. And it gets frustrating at times because i can be doing a million things but if a customer comes up to the till you have to stop what your doing, help them, and then for people with memories like mine, i have to try and remember what i was doing before. Ugh its just exhausting. But Im sure as always once i see the pay check everything will be worth it. I have to work earlier today. From 8-4, normally my shiftsare 11-6. Im kind of happy with this shift today though because im not growing fond of the whole closing business. Oh and my boss told me yesterday that there is already a new employee so im already not the new girl!!! YAY!!! haha it always takes the pressure off a little. Hopefully i jnust learn everything else quuickly and dont fall behind at all. Well that was a little more than i expected to write but i guess i can just ramble on on here. Congrats to me!

Well for all you people out there wondering if i got the job. I did!!! Not sure when i start, she said she would call me so i guess ill take it from there. I am really excited to be starting a job. There is alot of employees in this store too so lots of new people to meet and new things to learn. Im so excited! There is lots to do since i will be working up front. There is a deli, a sandwich place, coffee, ice cream, and thats alot already. But it wont just be me up there. thank goodness. I am pretty excited about the hours too. They open as early as 7 i think but close at 6 or 6 30. The manager said i would start on closing so i think that will be 10-6 shifts which will fit me perfectly. Im not a morning person but this isnt to late either since i will be walking or biking home. No use driving if its only 10 minutes walk. Probably not even, today i walked to my interview and it didnt take very long i was quite early for my interview so i walked around the stores while every person in the building was talking to me about being from Alberta and Stettler and how it was so great that i moved out here and that i had only lived here for a week. Who knew all that could be so exciting for people! Im sure eventually they wont ask so many questions. Good thing im not shy...ha! Well this entry was just to let yall know that i got a job. Ill let you know how the first day goes when i get to that.

Apologies to people who read this as i have not updated my blog anytime recently. The summer was a busy time. We worked constantly on my dads shop which finally got built. Throughout August (mostly the end) , we started hauling everything into the shop and me and Leia organized like mad. Well until we had no more shelving. I also got a chance in August to go to Folk Fest. it was in Saskatoon and I was glad to get to go with my Grandma and my cousin Rissy. It was such an awesome experience. And suprise suprise to those who knew me when i was young. I tried so many kinds of food!!! I am no longer a picky eater. Well yes and no. here are a couple of photos from folk fest...

On August 27th my family and I and my friend Carley set out to the good ol United States of America. We were down there for a couple day and litereally shoppped till we dropped or froze outside waiting for dad to pick us up at the outlet mall. One of the two. Then on the 30th, we all drove to the border together and split up in Abbotsford. Candice me and CArley all headed to the ferry and MOm, Dad , and Leia headed for home. Then off across the ferry went me and Candice. Carley went back down to the states with her mom for a couple days while me and Candice froze and probably cramped up a bit sleeping in the mini overnight. There was no hotels with Vacancy so we settled for the car. Both vehicles were packed with stuff we moved out here with so there was no reclining the seats. needless to say we were both a little sore and feeling homeless in the morning and although hotels are getting pricey we stayed at a hotel the next night after going swimming so we could shower there. ha!! Now Candice is in school and i have been quite bored. i dropped off at least 20 resumes and i had nothing until today!!!! I went into a little market that we live close to and there is a little ice cream store in there that i dropped a resume at. And right when i dropped it off the lady set up an interview for tomorrow! So woo hoo for me, i am soo excited. YAY! I have been out to my friend, Carelys place a couple times as well which has been nice. It helps that she is out here since she is a good friend from stettler. And nice also because i have not met many people being jobless and what not. We even got to go boating on the ocean!! and that is when i tried sushi.....its interesting. haha I also have tried crab being out here. quite suprising i know.
