Thanksgiving

I worked all weekend! And of course i got paid extra on Monday but it would have been nice to have the time off. Leia came across to the island and it was a good time. Candice and Leia made thanksgiving dinner on Monday and I got to come home to a wonderful meal. The first night Leia got here she picked me up from work and at around 5 45 the power went out in the store! And apparently all over the island. All the way from Nanaimo down to Victoria and Sidney. It was awesome because we did not have to vaccum that day! Its always a fight to who has to do that. Well i guess depending on who works. I think i have done it maybe 2 or 3 times in the month that i have been there. hahah
It feels like i have only been there two weeks. Like i know everything and am doing fine at the job but it does not feel like i have been there a month! Time is flying! I have three days off now and that is nice. Then next weekend mom and Dad come! Yay! I am quite excited. Although October is half over and that is insane! Im not sure i am ready to come home yet. Plus i do not know what i will do after. I feel like i will miss this place so much and especially people i work with. Some have them have become like family and good friends plus i will be leaving my friend CArley. Its still hard here because i do not do much and i miss home but i think i will miss here too. i guess i will just have to come back and visit good ol Matticks farm sometime in the future. One of my friends at work is maybe going to come to Edmonton in the Summer to go to the mall so hopefully ill see her then.
In my spare time the only thing i really do is read. I have read 5 books since i have been here! I still have alot at home to read so im sure i can get them all done by the time December comes around.
Well ill try and update this again soon if anything exciting happens. I think i might walk around Elk Lake which is a 10 km walk. I already did it but a girl from work might come with me this time which would be sweet.

Life

Well it has been 3 weeks of work and it feels great. Time is going so fast. In my opinion that is good and bad. I was a little worried coming here that time was going to go slow and i would be just so anxious to get home and just leave here. But its bad becuse im not sure i want to come home yet. Of course a little visit would be nice but to live there again, i dont think so. I always knew once i was freed from there i wouldnt want to go back. I guess thats just what happened. So lately i have been looking for bible colleges and other places for next year. My wish is that will find one in the U.S.A.(of course). Other than that i have just been working. Nothing exciting has really happened. Yesterday was...eventful...but not something ill share right now. maybe next time. This is a really short blog but nothing has happened to update. Just work and i had to train some new girl the other day!!! Wow i still thought i was new. I guess im an oldy there now. There is 3 newer girls than me. I guess i came at the right time for hiring. I dont always feel like i fit in but there is a couple girls i work with that are from Alberta or at least no where places are which makes me feel better. I think boss still thinks im from Calgary because i had to explain it. Oh its between Calgary and Edmonton but off to the east more. Some dont even know where Red Deer is. So i basically go along with being from Calgary. No use arguing haha. hahaha OH my and i might even let people at work call me BRI! I cant believe it. I hate that but if it works instead of calling me Brittney i guess it works. Well im going to get my walking boots on because im off to work. Catch ya on the flip side!
