That was quite the week... It went by fast, and was an overall good week but I sure wasn't home very much. Thank goodness I stuck with my plan for the weekend, to clean and get laundry done. My house looks and feels amazing!! I love a clean house. I know I don't make that much of a mess by myself or even acquire that much laundry but since Gizmo is around, there is always something to clean or vaccum or laundry to do because I have to wash all my blankets every week. So worth the trouble but annoying at times. So on Friday night, I didn't do much. Just chilled out at home, watched a movie and was in bed by 8:30. How pathetic!!! Saturday, I slept in....meaning 8:30 a.m. haha and got up to clean the house. It was great to be productive and admire my clean house after. I attempted to get groceries but was feeling too lazy so I turned around and went home haha. Later that day, I drove out to Sidney to hang out with Carley, who is here until Tuesday/Wednesday to help her mom out while she has 6 weeks of bed rest. Saturday night was fun, it was good to get together and chat, we went for a super long walk around Sidney and then ended up back at the house at 1:00 a.m.Sunday was a pretty boring but productive day. I did laundry all day and got most everything done. It is such a relief to have some work clothes clean this week. Since I was in Vancouver last weekend, I didn't get a chance to do laundry, and so last week was such a mix up everyday figuring out what to wear.
That was the extent of my weekend, not very exciting but hey, stuff needs to get done at some point and hopefully now that I am a bit on top of it I can do more of my cleaning this week and not on the weekend. Not too much to look forward to this week. Carley and I are going to have lunch on my break tomorrow, but then nothing else planned for now. It seems that since I write on this blog more I now have run out of things to talk about. I have been coloring at work again. Passes the time at least. I was supposed to be training for this new program, has to do with data entry and new training for employees but I haven't yet started it so right now I am waiting.
Great!! I just got a weird visitor so now I have a good story. I realize that job hunting needs to always seem professional but sometimes it sucks dealing with people searching for work. I have already had two people this morning wanting to drop off a resume. One actually asked to speak with Gary Schwann (recruitment officer) and to my surprise, Gary actually met with him, but the second one almost made me laugh out loud. He walked in, wearing a strange looking fur coat, started out by asking about our old address. So right off that bat I could tell he was a newby. he then asked who was running the place. I said Dave Curtis is the President/CEO. So the buddy asked to talk with him. HAHA Dave doesn't do the hiring so this buddy was out to lunch. I feel like some days I constantly have to lie to people. ESPECIALLY with people dropping off resumes. They always want to speak with someone right this minute yet they are forgetting that this is a business and people have other things to be doing. That is why they call you to set up an interview!!!!! So in the end, I told fur coat buddy that all the HR staff were in meetings but I would leave the resume in the mailbox.
Another example of me lying throughout the day is when people call for certain managers and I screen the calls. One of these just happened. Telemarketers call for Jim constantly, and even though I talk to him and let him know they called, he will just say voicemail so I make up an excuse like they aren't at their desk or something. Jim once told me too, that if I can't pronounce the name, do not transfer the call. I remember last week, there was one day where there was so so many calls for Jim. I finally just didn't even call him, I would just put them on hold, pretend to try his line, and then make up that he was in a meeting or something work related.
Well that is my work rant for the day. I'm sure you can only imagine the phone calls I get. Most are quite comical. Even when the people get mad at me for whatever reason, I just laugh it off. They are silly for getting mad at me. What do I care?
Hope ya'll had a good weekend. Hopefully I will have more exciting things to share later this week or tomorrow if something great happens tonight!!!
Ciao!!

Tuesday...
Well it seems as though, I have a new follower. Apparently my sister Candice, didn't know that the blog was up and running once again. I can't say all of the blogs are the most exciting but since I haven't written on here in a while it should be ok.
Last week was an interesting one...started out exciting, then plans for Tuesday got cancelled so that bummed me out, but not for long!!! On Wednesday, I went out for some appy's and drinks with a guy a met at work but doesn't work at Viking. We hung out again on Thursday and Friday, and then I was gone for the weekend. I ended up missing the 7:00 ferry on Friday night which was a bummer because it would have been nice to visit Leia a bit more than an hour drive on Sunday but I lost track of time and was five minutes late for the ferry. So I ended up just staying Friday night at home and taking the 11:00 ferry on Saturday morning. I had the BEST time in Vancouver!!! I met Carley by about 2:00 and we went downtown Van for a bit, wandered around, went for dinner, and eventually made our way back to her place. Sunday was a pretty chill day, but we had a good visit. Maybe next time I will be able to think of more things to do or different things. I left her place around 6:30 and caught the 9:00 ferry on Sunday evening. It was good to be back home but man am I ever behind on housework and such. The list could go on and on but I just have either been busy with things in the evening or not home at all. I need my laundry done which is a disaster because for work this week, I am running out of clean clothes!!!
As far as this week goes, it is off to a good start, already Tuesday and I am psyched for the weekend already. Although, I just realized a dilemna I might have. Oh well we will wait to see what happens. Carley is here this weekend for 4 days helping her mom since she just had surgery, so I will want to hang out a bit while she is here even just after work. I also can't miss laundry day this weekend. Life would be way too crazy if that happened. I also kind of miss my time alone. Sounds strange but since I have been busy doing something everyday for the last week, I miss having a night alone.
I think that is all for now because if I start with what is happening right now on my phone I will just end this being super mad. So goodbye folks. Let me go deal with some drama.

LIFE IS FANTASTIC!!!!!
Life isn't just good, or great, it is FANTASTIC!! haha. I have got to say that this week is going to be the best in my life I think. I suppose it is a little early in the week to be this optimistic but so far its been good, and my plans for this weekend make everything happy. I bet you are all dying to know the news about my car....So we changed the oil filter, spark plugs, and changed the oil, as well as me dumping fuel injector cleaner into the fuel and it runs like a dream!! I can't believe how it is almost a completely new car!! I am so thrilled about this. I don't worry about driving it now and this will be less expense on my part and hopefully will allow me to catch up on some other things now. WOO WOO!!! I really don't think anything could make me happier. Goes to show that I should have done this months ago and avoid all the grief. Live and learn and take care of the vehicles.
Next, as far as I know, I still have plans for tonight. I am all ready for this and so I hope things work out. I won't be crushed if they don't because I have learned to not get my hopes up on things but it would just help my week be wonderful. Besides this, I am still just super excited about visiting my friend Carley this weekend!!! It has been a while and quite a long time since we have got to hang out just the two of us and have a good visit. I have always found in life that to have a good conversation, usually a group of people is not the setting and so it will be nice to catch up on life and such. I am planning to go across on Friday night and have Leia and Justin pick me up, on Saturday morning, I am hoping that Justin can give me a ride to the skytrain station at King George and then from there it seems simple. I just ride the skytrain until Nanaimo station and Carley is going to meet me there. I am not able to spend too much money on this journey but I am hoping that we will be going downtown Van, because I like walking around there. It will be good as well because I have yet to see her new place. She is in a basement suite now I believe but I haven't been there since March 2010 I think. Crazy!! I would be spending the night on Saturday at Carley's and then take the skytrain back to King George station on Sunday where Leia will pick me up and drive me back to the ferry. It is going to be quite the journey but maybe after I do this once, I can figure out a better way without making my sister drive me everywhere. It always seems like such a hassle on the mainland to get around. Not a fan at all but I don't mind visiting. I can imagine you reading this paragraph and thinking I am nuts but I'm sure you can also tell how extremely excited I am. Then although it is partly bad news, Dallas is going in for surgery on Thursday this week and so next weekend, Carley is going to come across and help her mom for 4 days. I know she will be busy with that but I can go visit after work then and on the weekend!! Turning into a great month!!
A bit of rage/statement, you know you live in Victoria when.....the president/CEO of a company brings his dog to work for the day, everyday. And besides this even though its ridiculous, someone else brought their dog and took it out for walks. Now I'm guessing she had her reasons just like I did when I brought Gizmo to work when my basement was full of water but still. It just makes me laugh. And I don't mind that Dave brings AJ into work. I mean she is a cute dog and all but it just is too funny. I don't think this would ever happen in Alberta....maybe I'm wrong and it happens everywhere but these people on the island are just dog crazy!! It's no wonder that Candice didn't want to stay here for a longer time. I know she liked it but I can see why she wouldn't. I think of all the people in my family, I am the most animal loving one. I don't love dogs either but I tolerate them much better.
So that was my rant about that and now you know how excited and happy I am this week, even though one person in particular is being a weirdo and not talking much to me. Oh well, life goes on I suppose. OOO OOO OOO.... I forgot to tell you, since my grandma reads this as well, that I found my American husband!!!! I didn't ask him to marry me right away or anything....We had these visitors here for work and I would always catch him looking at me, then I find out the day they leave, that they are AMERICAN!!!!What a game changer that is. Soon as I found that out, I try to be more charming and automatically smile more. Its just instinct. That was the last time I seen him but now when he calls I know who it is. Cross your fingers!!!!!

Content
Content- a state of peaceful happiness. This is a good word to describe me today. I am in no means happy about everything in life, but after this weekend and some good news this morning, I am quite content. It started with getting a pay check that was more than was expected. I totally forgot about the stat holiday pay since I work through a temp agency, I just forgot that I would get that pay. So instead of a couple days of work, I got that included with January 1st pay. So in other words, I was able to buy some needed groceries and items for me, pay off my Visa a little bit, and still have some left over to help fix my car. I was able to buy oil and spark plugs, and hoping to get an oil filter after work. Then if all goes well, we can get this fixed tonight and it will run more smoothly.
Since I was feeling like crap on Friday night, migrain and all, I put off my cleaning till Saturday. But this worked out well. I didn't end up getting invited to do anything this weekend so both Saturday and Sunday were spent doing laundry, cleaning the kitchen, shopping a bit, and watching a bunch of movies. I think on Sunday alone I watched 5 or 6 movies. This is usually why I start a series because then I don't have to decide on a movie every time.
This week seems to be off to a good start. Everyone seems cheery again this week and few people are back from holidays. I know, they are only coming back now? That's what I say to but I guess when your making killer money at Viking, there is no need to work. Wish I was in that boat. My car will be getting fixed tonight, and I got plans for after work tomorrow already!! So WOO!!! Then this weekend, I am hoping that all works out well, and Carley, my friend from Vancouver, will have this weekend free to hang out. I plan on going across to the mainland. It's been a while since I have been there and I haven't ever gone to see her. It's only been my sister Leia that I visited. I will also visit with Leia this time as I am hoping she would pick me up from the ferry and such but I would spend most of Friday and Saturday with Carley. I will finally have a bit more money but I think I can manage to get across without spending to much. I'll just need money for transportation and food. So that shouldn't be too bad.
This is about my plans for the week/weekend. I'll let yeah know how the car thing goes tomorrow morning!! Catch ya on the flip side!!

End of the week...
Thank goodness this week is over!!! I have never looked forward to a Friday so much in my life. I am not totally sure why this is this week, but it has just seemed like a very long and blah week. I am still trying to catch up on finances so its not like I can avoid working, and without Leona here, it has been frustrating at times.
Besides work, life has been pretty good. Pretty boring I would say. I tend to put off all work at home until the weekend because I just find there is not enough time in the evening from 5:30-8:00. Most of the time I don't even eat supper because it just takes up too much time. This is why I look forward to my weekends so much. Tonight, I plan on doing all my cleaning that I have been putting off, kitchen clean up, dishes, vaccum, sweep, get laundry ready, clean bathroom, clean out purses. It will be a busy night but I'm hoping if I get this all done tonight, tomorrow I can enjoy a Saturday off and go for a walk or go to the ocean. Sunday is always laundry day but this Sunday I will also take Gizmo outside. When you are stuck sticking around the house because of laundry, its good to have little things to do in between. I am also getting things done tonight so that I can maybe have some fun on Saturday night. lets see if on Monday, any of these plans went through. I tend to make tons of plans and lists yet somehow along the way, nothing gets done or gets put off to a different day.
I haven't been writing on my blog as much lately which I'm sure you have noticed. Part of the reason is because i just don't know what to say and I'm sure whoever reads this gets sick of it always being complaints about something. The other reason being that Emmy introduced my to a website called Tumblr. It is so genius!!! You don't have to sign up or anything, it is almost like google. You can look up anything and everything you can think of. This has been making my weeks of work much more bearable. Seriously anything!!!! Type in tree and you will have an unlimited amount of posts with pictures of trees or quotes or people's blogs, it is craziness!! Lately I have been looking up different actors and again this could go on forever. The most genius invention I think. Well that and.....
JANGO...an app for the IPHONE that is a radio station that picks up on what genre of music you listen to lots. First you search for any artist and then the radio keeps playing but songs that are similar or artists that are similar. You can rate each one so that it will either paly more often or will be removed from the playlist. It was suggested to me from a coworker hehe and I love it!! So genius!!! This is much easier than using YouTube and each time a song ends you must think of a new one to search for and listen to and so on.
These two new things have kept me sane for the last 2 weeks.
Anyways thats about all I have to say that is not completely boring so before I ramble on about nothing I am going to spend my day on Tumblr once again.
Ciao!!!

A New Week
Here we go again....another Monday, another week. The weekend was a good one. Pretty chill and didn't do too much but enjoyed some time alone and a nice long walk around Elk Lake. Friday night, I just talked on the phone most of the evening and watched a movie after. Now that I think about it, I totally forgot to take Gizmo outside this weekend. Poor lil guy. He just had to stay indoors all weekend. Maybe this evening he could wander the backyard a bit. On Saturday, me and Emmy were supposed to go for a walk around Elk Lake but she had a busy day and was going to see her horse so I decided to go alone. I finished the walk in under 2 hours, with extremely muddy pants in the end. I still need the exercise and I usually walk faster alone anyhow so it was more of a work out. For those who don't know, Elk lake is a 10km path around the lake across from Cordova Bay and actually only a 5 minute drive from my new place. I think this walk is going to be a Saturday thing for me now. It only takes 2 hours out of a day and if I go first thing in the morning it wouldn't be so bad. I think that this next week I will try walking to Elk Lake then walking around and then walking home. I will be sore again just like I STILL am today but no pain no gain. This is about the only exercise I get since I do not run or like going to the gym. I went for a tour around my neighborhood last night too, because I figure I should walk everyday now, and I went a little further than I thought. Since I was sore from Thursday, I could barely make it up the hill to go home. The only thing I really did yesterday was laundry and that walk in the evening. I have been trying to not use my car lots since it is still not running to its full potential and since I drive out to Sidney 5 days a week, the weekends are usually spent, hermitizing in my home.
So this was the extent of my weekend. Not very thrilling but it was good enough for me. On my walk last night in my neighborhood, I seen a place called the ARC Group that was hiring. I don't know why i haven't investigated this earlier because right before you get to my street there is numerous industrial buildings surrounding the area and this would be perfect if I could get a job at any one of these. It would be close and I would be able to walk there each morning. Rain or shine because I have an umbrella as well!! There is multiple places that I could apply in the area and so I think that is what I am going to do today. The phone has been really busy at work today....I guess because of this week being the first normal full week back to work everyone needs to call at once. Besides having dumb people on the phone at times, I don't mind answering calls. Most of the calls are easy and they don't want to talk to me they just want extension.....blah blah blah. Plus more phone calls usually pass the day more quickly. That and when the mail comes in late.
What is with guys and mumbling on the phone??????? This is something that drives me nuts and probably always will. Like I realize that I probably do every now and then too when you get lazy or if the conversation has been going on for a while but I know some guys that you have to say "WHAT?" ten millions times before you can actually understand what they said. This is a pet peeve of mine. grr....
As far as the weather goes, we still don't have snow...Its been rainy this weekend and looks like it is settled in for a bit, some breaks in the clouds today might happen and maybe we will get to see the sun. Anywho I think I am going to sign off and search for my area for work. Catch ya on the flip side!!!!

Holy Smokes!!!!!
Has officially renamed this day 'Stupidity Friday'. For the first half an hour of work this morning, I thought I was literally in a morgue. Then when the phone finally does ring all I get are these retarded international calls and they just don't understand when someone is not in. Like if I were calling a business to speak with someone directly and they weren't there, leave a message. Well this guy insisted that he has been trying to get a hold of Cheryl for days and have left messages. Again, stupidity Friday, what do you want me to do about it? Obviously she is busy and will get back to you as soon as she can but clearly that time is not now. We could also call this grumpy day for Brianne. Luckily I will have the weekend to get over this grumpy day I am having before next week but look out today and do NOT tick me off.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Welcome to 2013 everyone!! 2012 was an ok year, I'm thinking the first half better then the second but some may debate that. Either way we have entered a new year and I gotta say that it has been a terrific start.
Christmas was a fun time.I was so thankful when I was done work for the Holidays on the 21st. I ended up changing flights and so I left for Alberta on Saturday the 22nd in the evening. It was a good flight. Seemed to go very fast like a normal flight and luckily through a bunch of seat changing, I ended up having the middle seat open with someone else on the aisle. This is so much better to not be so cramped and then I ended up talking with the buddy next to me the whole trip and this also made the trip fast. It was quite funny because for a living, he sold soap. Like bars of soap. He gave me a sample before we went our seperate ways after the plane. Although the flights were delayed for me and for Leia and Justin, it was a good visit with Mom on the way home and good to see everyone. We only got home at 4 a.m. and less than 5 hours later I was on my way to Ponoka to see my friend Braelyn and her little boy Jace. This was a really good day!! We played the rubber for our previous match in crib that we had played back in August, and then played a new match. She won the rubber for the previous match and then I won best out of 3 in the games we played that day. I left by 4, not because I wanted to but because I was stuck with the beetle in the winter in Alberta and it gets dark at 5. None of which would be a good combination so I prevented what I could and left early. In hindsight I should have booked all friends related things for Sunday but I didn't plan much ahead and this is not what happened. I hung out with Tara when I got back that night until midnight or so. Christmas Eve was a pretty good day with the exception that my Mom was sick with the flu that day, but in the morning, me Candice, and dad went shopping for a few things, we all had lunch except Mom, and then I went to work at the liquor store for a few hours. I volunteered to help out and enjoyed every minute of it. It felt like home and I definetly missed it. I still do...But although it was a short time spent there, I was very happy to see lots of my old customers and visit with Sheryl and Steve. In the evening, we were supposed to go to the Christmas Eve service but no one really felt like going or felt well enough to go so we played games in the evening and then went to bed I think. Instead of our usual tradition of opening one present on Christmas Eve night, we opened all of the presents on Christmas morning. On this day, Dad was sick. Present opening took us an hour. Not sure why it took so long and I didn't seem to notice but I guess we were all just moving slower.
For Christmas from Mom and Dad I got: Woo!! A KISS onesie, with feeties, thumb holes, and a hood!!, 7th season of The Office, Zumba on Wii, a Wii nunchuck, a spray bottle to defend against Gizmo, a subway gift card, Wal-Mart gift card, 3 black stands for my glass blocks which have an image inside that light up with these blocks.(kind of hard to explain but very cool), and some stocking stuffers which included a LED flashlight, lip gloss, granola bars, etc. From Leia: 2 shades of eyeshadows, an eyeshadow brush, and a sample mascara. From Candice: Belize cofffee, and a bracelet from Belize. From my Grandma Unger I got a nice bright green towel with my name embroidered on it. From Grandma Rempel, I got $25. And the funniest and cutest thing about Christmas this year was that Gizmo got 2 Presents!!!!!! He got 2 bags of his favorite treats from "the old people you used to live with" (is what the tag read), and some jingle ball toys from his Great-Grandma Unger! He has enjoyed both so far since I brought them back. :)
Oops, I also got a candle set from my friend Evelyn, it came with a plate, and 3 glass candle holders. She decorated each holder, 2 with red and white stripes and 1 blue one with stars on it. So thoughtful because she knows me so well. haha and to my surprise I returned home on the 26th to find my car, completely cleaned and vaccumed by Emmy!!! It was so needed and I had planned to clean it when I got back before New Years but she beat me to it! I can't thank her enough. It was getting so bad, more with garbage than anything but she did a good job and now I have a clean car.
Besides the family being sick this Christmas, it was a good one. A nice short visit and then back to my humble abode. I'm sure this month is going to go by fast as January normally does. I need to work lots, pay off some debt, and then maybe, just maybe, I can fix my car or give it a tune up by the end of the month. But first things first will be to get back on track in my finances. This is easier said than done. But I am determined and I will live like a hermit until this time. It's only me and Gizmo anyway...
Gizmo did fine while I was gone for the holidays. I guess he was whining a bit but I knew that would happen. He must have thought "Wow Mom, you have been working for 4 days in a row?, please come back" hahah My landlords fed and played with him a bit. They check him once or twice a day to make sure all was well. I guess he attacked Andy at one point, but was fine with Kim. I thought this was interesting because Gizmo must have something against men or maybe just cautious around them. Maybe its because his daddy is far away and Gizmo will never get to see him again. Either way, I find it interesting his reaction with men around. I wonder what is going through his mind.
Yesterday was the first day back to work. I am very glad that it will be a short week this week. It's almost the weekend already!! I realize that I need to be working but I enjoy time off so much. I love my new home so much I could literally stay there all the time and be content to not leave unless I'm just going for a walk. Everyone at work seems cheery and ready to be working again. It's nice to see some people here and catch up on how the season went. As far as actual work, clearly it is a slow day today. Luckily I don't sit on my computer too much at home so when I need to browse the web, I just come to work.
As far as New Years resolutions go, I plan to cut out junk food or all sorts, pop & juice, and other unhealthy snacks. I would really love to lose some weight, which I think I have done since being out here, but I would like to lose more and get fit. Hopefully by the summer time I should look how I would like to look and enjoy being by the ocean this summer.
A couple exciting adventures coming up include: me going to the mainland at some point and hanging out with Carley, in Febuary, both my mom and Evelyn will be visiting at some point. My mom will be here on the 8-9 of Febuary (she is balancing the visit with me here and Leia and Justin), and then Evelyn is planning on visiting the 21-27. So the next month and a half will be really exciting to have stuff to look forward to. Then before you know it, Spring will be here and everything will be pretty here again!! I think what I should aim to do this Saturday am is go for a walk around Elk Lake. I keep saying that I will do this but have not yet. I guess it seems simpler to walk around my neighborhood rather than driving to Elk Lake and walking then driving back. But if it is nice, I feel I should do some things outside this weekend. Maybe take Gizmo along for the car ride. He hasn't had one of those in ages.
Besides all that is above...not much else is new in my world. I have only 3 more hours to kill in this day and then Friday tomorrow!! hooray!! Got to do a bit of grocery shopping tonight on my way home, enough to let me survive but on healthy food, and then I think I will just be at home the rest of the evening. If I decide to be lazy and not go to Elk Lake on Saturday then I am forcing myself to take Gizmo outside in the back yard. He hasn't been outside since the old place and even then it was only once that I took him out. I think it will be a lot easier at my new place. I have a big back yard which is fenced and a quieter neighborhood. Aww wouldn't it be so cute if I could find a remote beach and take him on the leash near the water? That would make a good picture. Crouching tiger by the ocean. hahah
Well folks, I think I'm gonna publish this post before it turns into anything longer, and maybe search the web a bit while I wait 3 more hours to go home. Happy 2013 everyone!!!
