A New Week

Here we go again....another Monday, another week. The weekend was a good one. Pretty chill and didn't do too much but enjoyed some time alone and a nice long walk around Elk Lake. Friday night, I just talked on the phone most of the evening and watched a movie after. Now that I think about it, I totally forgot to take Gizmo outside this weekend. Poor lil guy. He just had to stay indoors all weekend. Maybe this evening he could wander the backyard a bit. On Saturday, me and Emmy were supposed to go for a walk around Elk Lake but she had a busy day and was going to see her horse so I decided to go alone. I finished the walk in under 2 hours, with extremely muddy pants in the end. I still need the exercise and I usually walk faster alone anyhow so it was more of a work out. For those who don't know, Elk lake is a 10km path around the lake across from Cordova Bay and actually only a 5 minute drive from my new place. I think this walk is going to be a Saturday thing for me now. It only takes 2 hours out of a day and if I go first thing in the morning it wouldn't be so bad. I think that this next week I will try walking to Elk Lake then walking around and then walking home. I will be sore again just like I STILL am today but no pain no gain. This is about the only exercise I get since I do not run or like going to the gym. I went for a tour around my neighborhood last night too, because I figure I should walk everyday now, and I went a little further than I thought. Since I was sore from Thursday, I could barely make it up the hill to go home. The only thing I really did yesterday was laundry and that walk in the evening. I have been trying to not use my car lots since it is still not running to its full potential and since I drive out to Sidney 5 days a week, the weekends are usually spent, hermitizing in my home.

So this was the extent of my weekend. Not very thrilling but it was good enough for me. On my walk last night in my neighborhood, I seen a place called the ARC Group that was hiring. I don't know why i haven't investigated this earlier because right before you get to my street there is numerous industrial buildings surrounding the area and this would be perfect if I could get a job at any one of these. It would be close and I would be able to walk there each morning. Rain or shine because I have an umbrella as well!! There is multiple places that I could apply in the area and so I think that is what I am going to do today. The phone has been really busy at work today....I guess because of this week being the first normal full week back to work everyone needs to call at once. Besides having dumb people on the phone at times, I don't mind answering calls. Most of the calls are easy and they don't want to talk to me they just want extension.....blah blah blah. Plus more phone calls usually pass the day more quickly. That and when the mail comes in late.

What is with guys and mumbling on the phone??????? This is something that drives me nuts and probably always will. Like I realize that I probably do every now and then too when you get lazy or if the conversation has been going on for a while but I know some guys that you have to say "WHAT?" ten millions times before you can actually understand what they said. This is a pet peeve of mine. grr....

As far as the weather goes, we still don't have snow...Its been rainy this weekend and looks like it is settled in for a bit, some breaks in the clouds today might happen and maybe we will get to see the sun. Anywho I think I am going to sign off and search for my area for work. Catch ya on the flip side!!!!
