New Job!

Well for all of you that don't know. I recently got a temp job at a place called Viking Air Ltd. Some of you may recognize this company from our Calgary office. If not we fix and distribute airplanes of a certain model. A few are the ones that land in water which I think is pretty cool. I am now on my second out of 3 weeks there. I like it so far. Most of the people are friendly but there is something about people out here. I don't know if they can see right through me but thats sure what it feels like. The job itself is good. I'm the receptionist and sit up front all alone. I answer the phone all day and transfer calls to the appropriate person, schedule appointments, sort the mail around noon, clean my office area and front doors, and check visitors in and out. The most boring part is usually in the afternoon because some staff already start leaving at 2:30!!!! I get two 10 min breaks at 10:30 and 3:30 and a paid half hour lunch at 1:00. My total hours from start to finish is 8:30-5:00. Which is why i havent been emailing much or on the computer really at all. I get up early to get ready and then when you only get home at 5:30 and go to bed at 9:00 it doesn't leave much free time. I forgot to mention that this job is out in Sidney very close to the airport which is about 25 minutes from my house in Victoria. Today, I am doing laundry and cleaning like mad. I haven't done too much last week and the whole weekend was booked up with turkey dinners and fun times. This weekend, Kyle is coming to visit and I'm sooo excited. It's his first time to the island and to the ocean!!! So I am excited to be showing him around and I get to do some touristy things as well because most other people have seen it all or done it all. The last weekend in october my mother is coming to see me too!! what a wonderful month!!!! I hope both weekends will be nice for them.
