WASSUP!!!

Howdy Folks!! Aww I just looked back in my blog at my FIRST July 4th party I ever had!!! What a shin dig that was. All of the McComishes were there, and if I'm not mistaken this was probably the one and only that all attended and Aja and Leia were there. Throughout the 4 years we have been throwing a party, the attendees have changed. It was good to see what we had to eat that year and the dessert was Mrs. McComishes famous chocolate chip cake. I am usually wearing the same thing each year or something similar. I try to change my hat/crown every year as well. I just have too many and I can't wear them all!! For the past 3 years (I think), my Grandma has been able to come celebrate as well. This has been super special and I love having her there. It means alot to have support in my celebration since Dad and Brian are always the party poopers. I can't wait for the 2013 July 4th party!! I don't really know whether I will be in B.C. or in Alberta, but either way I know it will be good. If I am in B.C., I am either going to go down to Washington to celebrate with my peeps(meaning Americans) or I will see if I can watch the fireworks from here. I know Victoria does a big Canada Day celebration but you can guarantee that I will be baracaded in my American house during this time. I guess to sum up this paragraph, it was nice to see old pictures of the very first party we ever threw.

Today was an ok day. If I had checked my Facebook close to 8 I could have saved my brain some panicking but nope didnt check it till lunch time...So being the worry wart that I am I worried all day that my plans would not work out this evening. After all the past week and weekend has put me through I don't think I could have handled one more let down. So happy happy happy am I to be done work in exactly 30 minutes!!! I got Gizmo waiting at home for me and a great surprise shortly after. YAY!!! Tonights gonna be a good night. The rest of the week will be pretty boring I would imagine. I guess tomorrow we are setting up "my office" reception area for Christmas so that should look good. I'm just helping cuz there is going to be free pizza! When living alone, who can say no to a free supper?!!??

I can't remember if I ever told this story about Scott McConachie and Todd Wright from work. Scott is very chatty and talks often. Todd is the maintenance guy and stops to talk often too. They are both nice people. Scott car pools with Todd on certain days. So one day he is waiting in the lobby for Todd, we were talking about the weekend and then I asked who he was waiting around for. He said he was waiting for Mr. Wright......I laughed so hard at this. I'm sure you can all imagine how squinty my eyes were. I think a couple days later same thing happened and me and Scott were laughing about it, then Todd asked am I Mr. Right or Mr. Right now.....hahahahahah Some people at work are just too funny. There is plenty of weirdos too, but thats everywhere and it is BC........nuff said

The ONE part of my job that I really do enjoy, is the opportunity to visit with people in multiple departments. Because I am at the front desk I get to see everyone and for some reason this has always been important to me. I'm shy, yet I like to see people, people watch, and just be in the busy part of things. Sometimes I do miss out on this such as my breaks being at the quiet times and lunch after everyone else but I have gotten to know more people than for example, Leona has in the many years she has been employed here. Sure everyone is familiar with names on the phone list, but I get to mingle and hear all the gossip about different departments. I laugh to myself when people start explaining their jobs or days to me. I mean I ask how their day is going to be nice and make conversation, but all of it comes out as jibberish. I have no idea what part is what or engineering oh my goodness that just goes over my head. So nodding and smiling is my number one response.
